About

Built on 20 years of getting complex projects delivered.

Casa Clara Studio is a Miami-based boutique advisory practice founded by Clara Borrero Coffey. Clara has overseen portfolios and projects exceeding $1.2B in asset value — from a $150M ground-up Brooklyn tower with Tishman Construction, to leading predevelopment across Fairstead’s national affordable-housing portfolio (6,000+ units), to resort repositionings, $80M+ senior-housing preservation programs, healthcare build-outs, and design-sensitive private residences.

Clara's career spans every side of the table: workplace strategy at Gensler for clients including Citibank, JPMorgan, Novartis, and the Ford Foundation; delivering a $150M ground-up tower with AECOM Tishman; and leading predevelopment across Fairstead's national affordable-housing portfolio — 6,000+ units across 14 states, partnering with contractors throughout the U.S. Casa Clara Studio brings that full arc — architect's eye, builder's discipline, owner's interest — to every engagement.

The studio exists for owners, boards, and developers who want a hands-on partner who bridges vision with execution — delivering projects with efficiency, compliance, and long-term value.

Clara is a licensed Florida General Contractor and holds a Master of Professional Studies in Real Estate from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design. She works fluently in English and Spanish.

FAQ

Common questions.

What does an owner's representative actually do?

An owner's rep is your advocate on a construction or renovation project. Contractors, architects, and engineers each have their own interests — we sit on your side of the table only, managing scope, budget, bidding, contracts, and quality so ownership's interests come first at every decision.

Who does Casa Clara Studio work with?

Condo and HOA boards planning capital improvements, investors and developers repositioning assets, institutions managing renovation programs, and homeowners undertaking significant renovations. Projects have ranged from private residences to a $150M ground-up tower.

When should we bring you in?

As early as possible — ideally before scope is set or contracts are signed. The biggest savings and risk reductions happen in planning and procurement. That said, we also step into projects already underway when owners need stronger oversight.

Do you replace our general contractor?

No. The GC builds; we make sure what's built matches what you're paying for. We run competitive bidding, negotiate contracts, and provide day-to-day oversight and reporting on your behalf.

Where do you work?

Based in Miami, serving South Florida, with project experience in New York. For the right project, we work beyond these markets.
